Following on from a rich and varied professional life, Andrew now works with a number of charities on a voluntary basis, and recently made the switch from supporting the Transforming Wigan project to trusteeship with the Deanery Trust:
"After a career working in the private, public and voluntary sectors, I now undertake a number of Trustee roles: as well as being a Trustee of Wigan Deanery Trust, I am a Trustee of the Groundwork Charites in the North East, Tyneside and Cumbria as well being a lay member of the Durham Cathedral Chapter.
My involvement with Wigan began when I was asked to assist with delivering the financial changes necessary to underpin the Transforming Wigan project at the start of 2019. When the project ended I wanted to continue to support the delivery of the vision for Wigan to foster spiritual growth and support and build local communities.
Therefore, although I am based in Durham, I was delighted to be asked to serve as a Trustee for the Wigan Deanery Trust, and I enjoy and look forward to my visits to Wigan."
