He will begin his role in November and start receiving clients in December. A big thank you to everyone who has donated to help with the appointment. With our plan to run the post for a minimum of three years and a £60k project we would love your support in raising further funds, to add to our growing total.: As part of his new role, John will set up and manage the running of the debt centre in partnership with CAP and The Lifted Project. His main task will be to support clients on their journey to becoming debt free through home visits and ongoing support. Tue, 25 Oct 2022 09:29:17 GMT 'Lifted' to support our social Justice projects - Feeding Wigan http://wigandeanerytrust.org/lifted-to-support-our-social-justice-projects.php Providing food pantry’s, feeding over 350 people a week and running a CAP debt centre helping 20 families a year, become debt free.: Food Poverty Wigan Deanery Trust are providing the infrastructure and systems to implement and manage the project. Churches have recruited volunteers to run the pantries and Wigan Borough Council will promote the service. Fur Clempt is providing intercepted food and we are also partnering with other charities to help provide food that would end up in landfills. The Food Pantry Network will provide access to food using a ‘Pay as You Feel’ model. The pantries operate in existing local community facilities and are offered on a “no questions asked” basis, to lower access barriers. They deliver a common outcome across th...
