How you can help feed Wigan

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Church Wigan has been working in conjunction with a variety of partners, including Wigan Council, to guarantee supplies for families who are struggling to put food on the table, for whatever reason. The churches themselves are feeling the financial pinch, but are committed to supporting this vital work.

Working with Wigan Deanery Trust's fundraising team, Church Wigan have been able to kick off their first targetted fundraising campaign, using donr.com for text giving and justgiving,com for online giving - all managed by Wigan Deanery Trust. We're really excited at the first results, as £450 came in over the first weekend through giving by text alone.

All donations collected by the trust go direct to Church Wigan to support front-line work, unlike most major charities. At WDT we're thrilled to be making this possible, ensuring that the prayer of these families - "give us today our daily bread" - is answered in a practical way.
